If there is anything that I have learned closely over the last 3 years, it is possibly the art of listening to silence. My first revelations came from the book by Eckhart Tolle. He has a beautiful way of guiding the reader in self exploration of thoughts, the mind and therein the secrets and perils of mind created illusions that often tend to drive us far from a state of balance. It is also during this time that I realized that in more cases than not, language is a limiter itself. There is more said by silence and by feeling the space and this is where perhaps many of our conversations fall short. The art of listening has often been employed by the greatest of leaders and statesmen to create consensus. Sundar Pichai is one such man, who practices this art masterfully and is loved for it. Bill Clinton was another. The topic is highly fascinating and fun to work with. Learn to look into silence, to create space and to allow space in interactions. I have a strong feeling that everybody will be better off with it.
