Curious, Action Oriented, Engineer/Entrepreneur
maninder minhas
Hello there! My name is Maninder. Welcome to my blog. Over the last couple of years, I have taken a strong liking to writing and I use this blog to document some of my works.
Ever since a young child, I have been highly curious about almost everything, trying to understand the interconnections between things. It is probably also why systems based thinking is also my first love. This affiliation first took shape in my choice of engineering as a university major, whereby I worked with system designs, robotics, semiconductors and other exciting ideas.
It is hard not to follow this approach to almost everything in life and I have begun to find a keen liking to abstract thinking, conceptualized ideas and discovering their potential from the lens of creating products that can have a positive impact on vast group of people.
Creation excites me and as the saying goes ‘Change is the only constant’. I believe that.
I am passionate about human connections and the role that tech plays in enabling those. About exploring motivations, of the individuals and of the groups, about understanding interactions, about life and about drawing parallels to make sense of it all. I am often wrong, but that does not stop me from asking questions. Tech, good products, entrepreneurship, team dynamics, strategy, macroeconomics are some subjects that I am fascinated about.
I am sure this may seem like a wide array but I can assure you they are all connected.
I hope that you enjoy some of my writings and take away something positive from this page.

The Promise of the Robo Infused
Almost 8 years ago, on a morning drive to work, I remember listening to a talk about a potential driverless world. What would the cars of the future look and feel like? How would the design evolve to cater to a fully hands off passenger base. What strategic...
How legacy companies can think about unlocking value from parallel existence in Web3
The last one year has seen an exponential increase in appetite for metaverse, web3 and the mystery around NFTs. I believe that most of the big names are well in their process of exploring the potential that this new digital world offers and along with it comes a...
My thoughts on companies adopting DAOs
I am equally hopeful and bullish for the introduction of DAO framework in how companies make both their day to day and eventually most important decisions. Rooted in code, DAO framework is an exciting and objective way of conducting a fair, open and efficient...
Triangulation to the Fore
Bits and Bytes. When you get to the most fundamental level of anything, it exists like black or white, true or false, yes or no, a bit or a byte - on or off. This is also the level at which exploration for answers ceases to exist and permutations and combinations of...
Migrations from Web2 to Web3
We are fast progressing towards a massive migration in how we do computing and I think it is bound to have profound implications - not only on the technical underlining but also on social outlook towards technology and more favorable economic implications for all...
The year that was 2020 – Personal Revelations
Artist conceives, Engineer follows
In a team setting out to change the world for the better, craftsmen of both bends must be allowed participation in. Artists tend to be of the freer soul, more in touch with the source, less wary of the fears and more prone to capture and nurture abstract thoughts....
Our inherent pursuit of symmetry
Look around the nature and you are bound to find balance. The structures of the food chains, the crests and the valleys, the light and the dark. Illusionary at best yet illuminating when experienced in seclusion. In fact, the structure of the body is probably the...
On Limitations of language.
If there is anything that I have learned closely over the last 3 years, it is possibly the art of listening to silence. My first revelations came from the book by Eckhart Tolle. He has a beautiful way of guiding the reader in self exploration of thoughts, the mind and...
